Best 2-person saunas of 2026
Two-person saunas are the sweet spot for most homes: small enough for a spare room or a corner of the yard, big enough to share or to lie down in. Here's what independent testers rate highest, across infrared and traditional.

Infrared or traditional at this size?
Most 2-person saunas are infrared cabins, and that's where the 120V plug-in convenience lives: wheel it in, click it together, plug it into a wall socket. Two-person traditional saunas exist (Redwood's Duo, Plunge's Mini) but need a 240V circuit and are usually outdoors. If the sauna is going in a bedroom or basement and you don't want an electrician, infrared is the practical answer. The full comparison.
What testers agreed on
- Sun Home's Equinox was Garage Gym Reviews' best overall home sauna and Men's Fitness's best indoor infrared. Both liked the quick heat-up, the hardwood (eucalyptus) build and the easy assembly.
- Sunlighten's Amplify II gets credit for the lifetime structural warranty and Sunlighten's clinical research, with the usual Sunlighten caveat that you have to request a quote.
- Bench comfort varies more than you'd think. Testers singled out the Relaxe Caldera's bench as unusually comfortable and noted that two adults fit properly. Sit in one if you can.
Measure twice
A typical 2-person cabin is 45-51" wide, 40-46" deep and 75-78" tall. Check ceiling height with the roof panel on, the door swing, and whether the flat-packed panels (often 6 feet long) can get through your hallway and stairs.
Budget guide
- Under $2,000: Royal Saunas via Wayfair, Golden Designs/Dynamic at Costco. Expect 140°F, far infrared only, 1-year warranty.
- $2,500-$5,000: JNH, Peak's entry models. Better heat, longer warranties, sometimes red light.
- $5,000-$7,000: Sun Home Equinox, Sunlighten Amplify, Peak's full-spectrum models. This is where most testers' favourites sit.
- $9,000+: Luminar 2, Plunge Mini, Clearlight Sanctuary 2. Premium builds, outdoor options, longest warranties.
